<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression molding die which can inhibit the generation of a non-conforming molded piece, attributed to the uneven dispersion of fibers impregnated with FRP. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The compression molding die 2 comprises a first molding tool 21 for forming one surface of a molded piece 10 of FRP (fiber-reinforced plastics) and a second molding tool 22 for forming its back, an opposite side to the above one surface. In addition, the molding die 2 has a cavity 3 for compression-molding an FRP material 1, formed between the first molding tool 21 and the second molding tool 22, and also, has a two-stage shear edge 4 formed at the end part of the cavity 3. The gap "t", which gives the thickness of the cavity 3, between the first molding tool 21 and the second molding tool 22, is made smaller stepwise or continuously from one end side to the other end side in a direction orthogonal with the mold clamping direction.
