PURPOSE: A button-started system for a vehicle is provided to enable the temporary operation of a vehicle by enabling a driver to rotate a steering wheel over a preset angle and re-determining whether to lock the steering wheel or not. CONSTITUTION: A button-started system for a vehicle comprises a control module(20), a steering wheel control device(30) and a voltage distribution module(40). The control module creates request signals for unlocking a steering wheel(200) when a button(10) is pressed. The steering wheel control device cancels the lock of the steering wheel due to the request signals. The steering wheel control device transmits unlocking check signals or a sensor error signals to a control module. The voltage distribution module starts an engine according to the unlocking check signals. The control module directs the driver to rotate the steering wheel.
