<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid, in a steam turbine equipped with a magnetic bearing for a shaft, overheating of the magnetic bearing and breakage of a laminate. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling air passage for cooling air extending in an axial direction of the shaft is provided in the region of the magnetic bearing. The cooling air passage is connected with a cooling air feed device including a cooling air feeding part extending in a radial direction, on a side of the magnetic bearing facing the laminate, and communicates with the free end of a shaft end in a support casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
