<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce irreversible capacity in an electrode plate for a lithium ion secondary battery having a plurality of through-holes for diffusion of lithium ions. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode plate for a lithium ion secondary battery includes: a substrate; and an active material layer formed on the substrate.
