<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that reduces effects even if point settlement for an affiliated store server collecting points from another affiliated store server that has provided the points is not properly carried out. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a point management system and its affiliated store servers. The system operates common points. A step is provided for calculating, for each affiliated store server and as information on settlement between the point management system and each affiliated store server, a difference between the settled amount of given points which is calculated based on the count of points given by an affiliated store server during settlement period and the settled amount of collected points which is calculated based on the count of points collected by the affiliated store server during the settlement period (step S307).
