<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication terminal and radio communication method for appropriately controlling a handover even in the situation where handovers between base stations are frequently incurred by positioning at a cell edge, when performing the handover in accordance with a reception power level. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication terminal (100) performs a normal handover by selecting base stations to be connected from among a plurality of base stations on the basis of a predetermined condition relating to a reception power level of a received signal. The radio communication terminal (100) comprises: a measuring section (120) for measuring the reception power levels of signals received from the plurality of base stations at first predetermined time intervals; a handover history storage section (142) for storing a history of handovers; and a control section (130) in which, when it is determined that handovers within a second predetermined time are repeated between a first base station and a second base station, in a case where the predetermined condition is met between the reception power level of the first base station and the reception power level of the second base station, it is controlled to connect to a base station with smaller variation in reception power level between the first base station and the second base station. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
