<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an automatic accompaniment apparatus, preventing unnatural change in an accompaniment mode before and after a registration recall. <P>SOLUTION: When registration SW is on-operated in the process of automatic accompaniment, it is determined whether a rhythm number (a new rhythm number) in registration data subject to registration recall and a rhythm number (an old rhythm number) in the process of automatic accompaniment are different (step SD3).
