<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a COA type liquid crystal display capable of preventing deterioration of image quality due to a spherical spacer rolling to a display area. <P>SOLUTION: An insulation film 28 includes a recess 24a corresponding to an auxiliary capacitance line 23, and a spherical spacer 32 is disposed on the recess 24a.
