<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a closed cross-section member made of metal by which the closed cross-section member made of the metal is manufactured accurately by a relatively simple manner. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the closed cross-section member made of the metal for manufacturing a closed-section member which is formed into a closed cross-sectional shape from a planar workpiece made of metal is provided with a first press-forming stage where the planar workpiece W1 is pressed into a convex shape by using a first forming die assembly and a second press-forming stage where, by performing the press forming by relatively moving a core die 65 to a die 61 in the state where the press-formed planar workpiece W1 is arranged between the die of the second forming die assembly and the core die of a second forming die assembly by using the second forming die assembly 60, the closed-section is made by moving convex-shaped side face parts W3, W4 on both sides of a convex-shaped top face part W2 which is formed into a projecting shape of the planar workpiece formed in the first press-forming stage toward an inward side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
