<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device, capable of early deterring a criminal from withdrawing money, which he/she has had fraudulently transferred, from an automatic teller machine set in a store. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The monitoring device for monitoring the store provided with the automatic teller machine, which is connected to a monitoring center by a communication line, includes: an operation means which is operated by the store staff to request monitoring of the store to the monitoring center; an imaging means which takes image within the store; a communication means which transmits the image taken by the imaging means to the monitoring center; a voice generation means which generates voice into the store; a storage means which stores voice information for alerting a visitor to the store to the use of the automatic teller machine; and a control means which causes, upon operation of the operation means, the transmission means to transmit the image taken by the imaging means, and also the voice generation means to generate the voice information stored in the storage means.
