<p>The device (1) has a surface (2) that is illuminatable in a fixed area (3). A recess (5) is formed in a base (4) to form an opening (6) on the surface. A transparent plate (7) covers the opening. A cover plate (8) is arranged on the transparent plate to cover an upper side (9) of the device. An opaque layer (11) is formed in an area (10) complementary to the fixed area. A lower side (13) of the cover plate is turned away from the upper side of the device.
