PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a molding of a minute shape which suppresses defective molding by making a molding surface pressure uniform and does not need a device for supplying pressure from the outside to fluid and its production method. SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the molding of the minute shape, in which a mold with the minute shape formed is heated, pushed to a resin film or a resin sheet applied on a substrate, cooled, and demolded to transfer the minute shape to the resin film or the resin sheet, comprises a cylinder-shaped member 5 fixing the mold 1 to a lower part, a piston-shaped member 4 inserted into the cylinder-shaped member 5, and an incompressible fluid or a gelatinous substance 8 placed in a space formed by the cylinder-shaped member 5, the piston-shaped member 4, and the mold 1. When the piston-shaped member 4 is pressed by a molding pressure, the mold 1 is pressed by the molding pressure through the incompressible fluid or the gelatinous substance 8.
