PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester based resin composition with reduced neck-in in melt extrusion, low in surging (fluctuation of selvage), excellent in high speed film extrusion, mechanical properties and thermal stability. SOLUTION: The polyester based resin composition comprises a blend of a polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate unit as the principle constituting unit and an olefin based polymer in a weight ratio of 70/30-99/1, the olefin based polymer of which contains functional groups in a concentration of 200-2,000eq/ton.
