PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock for use of bags excellent in workability, characterized in that a box component of the lock containing various parts does not need to change when the design of the lock is changed, and that the lock and the box can separately be manufactured by press work on metal plates. SOLUTION: A lock 1 fixed on a bag body and a hook plate installed on its lid are provided. An engaging protrusion 4 to engage with one of holes opened in the hook plate is provided on the surface of the lock. A box 5, a separate part from the lock, is fixed inside the lock with stoppers 6 on the engaging protrusion 4. A lock component 9 similar in shape to the engaging protrusion 4 is pivotally supported on the surface of the engaging protrusion 4. A coil spring 11 is provided in agreement to the pivot 10 of the lock component so that it can act in the direction of turning the lock component. Arrangements have been made that when one of the holes on the hook plate is fitted with the lock component, a stop piece 14a protruding from the lock surface is pushed inward by a lock plate and the lock component automatically turns by 90°from the point of aligning with the engaging protrusion and stops there to effect lock conditions.
