The centrifugal separator has a rotating rotor with a rotor housing (1) in which a flow opening (12) for the fluid is inserted, where the rotor housing is formed of two-pieces. The radially outward lying inner side of the rotor housing forms a dirt accumulation wall (3a). An interchangeable cartridge is inserted in the rotor housing. The rotor housing has a base plate (2) and a rotor pot (3) attached at the base plate.
