The invention relates to a turning machine (10) of the rotary-chuck type, enabling high-speed turning to be carried out very precisely. This machine comprises a feed block (11) equipped with a first numerical-control actuator (13), for supplying raw material, such as a metal rod, and a control block (12) equipped with a second numerical-control actuator (20) and designed to control the tools for turning and cutting this metal rod. The supply block (11) and the control block (12) are placed so as to be parallel along directions of axes approximately perpendicular to the axis of a chuck (60) that is housed in a frame (80) covered with a cap (81). The metal rod to be machined is conveyed and driven by two drive discs (14, 15) for supplying the turning tools, and in particular the machining/cutting chuck (60), with raw material. |
