<p>The present invention provides latent heat storage materials having enhanced fire-retardant properties. These include compositions a phase change material and a binder, the binder including dry inert powder, phosphogypsum, and an alkaline salt of any metal. The latent heat storage material may additionally comprise magnesia cement including magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, and water. The latent heat storage material may additionally comprises fillers, and/or intumescent agents. The phase change material may be a microencapsulated formulation. A process for making these compositions is disclosed.</p> |
