PURPOSE: A mold for beam blank, which reduce the cooling speed of a solidified layer using dimples and a mold cooling-capacity control method thereof are provided to prevent defects on the beam blank by making the uniform cooling performance through the entire surface of the mold. CONSTITUTION: A mold for beam blank comprises a plurality of dimples. A plurality of dimples is formed in the inner surface of a mold(100). A plurality of dimples can reduce the cooling speed of the solidified layer. The solidified layer forms a beam blank. The dimple is formed in an inner flange tip shaping part and an outer flange tip shaping part of the beam blank.
