<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a palladium-containing catalyst by which α, β-unsaturated aldehyde and α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid can be produced from olefin at high selectivity in high yield and to provide a method for manufacturing this catalyst and a method for producing α, β-unsaturated aldehyde and α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid by using this catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This palladium-containing catalyst contains 0.01-0.4 moles iridium metal on the basis of 1.0 mole palladium metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
