PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting abnormal voltage, having user-friendly abnormal voltage detecting function for a battery pack, in comparison with those of conventional technology. SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting abnormal voltage for the battery pack is provided and detects the voltage abnormality of the group battery provided with a plurality of battery blocks, comprising at least one secondary battery and connected in series. It determines whether the state is an abnormal voltage is detected, by comparing a voltage of each battery block or a battery measurement voltage as a voltage dropped from the voltage of each battery block with a predetermined reference voltage. An abnormality detecting signal is generated and includes information on a detection result. The temporal ratio of the time in the abnormal voltage state of the battery pack to a predetermined time period is calculated, based on a plurality of the abnormality detection signals.
