PURPOSE: In the paper jam processing method of the image forming apparatus equipped with one or more option cassette and image forming apparatus is the hanging of the paper, the paper hanging on one or more option cassette is not discharged. In that way damage or the consumption of the paper is prevented. CONSTITUTION: If the paper jam is detected, the removal of the paper hanging within the removal of all papers on the image forming apparatus and transfer path or the image forming apparatus is selected(S400, S410). The paper hanging on the image forming apparatus and the paper hanging on the option cassette transfer path are altogether removed. The paper ejection controller discharges the paper hanging within the image forming apparatus(S420). If the paper has on the option cassette transfer path, the printing begins on the transfer path from the paper(S430, S440).
