SPHERICAL POLYMER POWDER WITH NARROW PARTICLE DISTRIBUTION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF USING STEP GROWTH

PURPOSE: A method for preparing spherical polymer powder is provided to shorten manufacturing time compared with conventional monodisperse polymer pulverized body, to use various raw materials, and to prepare spherical polymer powder with uniform particle size distribution. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing spherical polymer powder comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a dispersion phase solution containing a vinyl monomer, polyfunctional monomer, polymerization initiator and emulsion stabilizer; (b) preparing a first emulsion by adding the dispersion phase solution to the solution containing a suspending stabilizer; (c) preparing microparticles-containing second emulsion with uniform article size distribution by adding a second swelling monomer to the first emulsion through competitive growth of emulsion; and (d) polymerizing the second emulsion.
