SYNTHESIZING PROCESS OF PHOSPHOR

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a phosphor is provided to prevent the generation of toxic organic materials, to omit a water rinsing process, and to maintain particle shapes, crystalline and luminescence intensity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a phosphor used for a plasma display panel or an ink jet comprises the steps of: dissolving Zn(NO3)2·6H2O and Mn(NO3)2·XH2O in deionized water; adding and dissolving citric acid so that a molar ratio of the solution of the first step and citric acid is 3:1; mixing nitric acid(HNO3) so that the pH of the second step solution becomes 1-2; adding silica-sol while stirring the solution of 3rd step; stirring the solution of 4th step, changing burned powder by burning the solution; synthesizing a green phosphor by burning and expose-cooling the powder in an alumina crucible in an air or oxygen atmosphere; and reacting the green phosphor in a nitrogen or hydrogen reducing atmosphere.
