<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent information which is popular and highly interesting to a user by extracting an index limiting the strength of his or her interest in items from the access history of the user. <P>SOLUTION: In a server on a network, weighting factors expressing the strength of a user's interest in items are set according to the type of access, and the number of access to each item is acquired from a history information storage means, and the total sum weighted according to the type of access by using the weighting factors is calculated as the strength of the user's interest, and the strength of the user's interest is stored in an interest strength storage means for each item, and the items or the relevant information of the items are provided by using the strength of the user's interest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
