PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for measuring the extensity of metallic material are provided to improve the molding analysis accuracy of a metal plate and accurately measure the moldability of the material. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring the extensity of metallic material comprises a tension device, a laser generating device, a sensor, and a camera. The tension device comprises a blank holder and a punch. The blank holder is composed of an upper holder and a lower holder which fixes the metal plate. The punch strains and transforms the metal plate fixed to the blank holder. The sensor which is installed on the opposite side of the laser generating device senses the laser beam.
