PURPOSE: A substrate for light emitting device of silicon carbide base and a light emitting device using the same are provided to improve the heat conduction and the electrical conductivity by forming a substrate in which the metal particle is impregnated in the silicon carbide matrix. CONSTITUTION: A metal particle(112) is impregnated within a silicon carbide matrix(111) of a substrate(110). A compound semiconductor structure(140) is formed on the top of the substrate. The P-type compound semiconductor layer, the active layer, and the n-type compound semiconductor layer are included. The metal particle is impregnated with squeeze casting. The metal particle is chosen from a group comprising aluminum(Al), copper(Cu), silver(Ag), iron(Fe), molybdenum(Mo), aluminum alloy, copper alloy, and silver alloy.
