PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for generating a color matrix for color correction and a recording medium thereof are provided to simply generate a color matrix by a non-square matrix inverse matrix technique. CONSTITUTION: A generating unit(110) generates a target matrix. The target matrix comprises target image data. The target image data is outputted from an image sensor. An operation unit(120) performs matrix multiplication about the inverse matrix of the target matrix and the reference matrix. The reference matrix comprises reference image data. The reference image data is a reference for color correction. A setting unit(130) sets a color matrix for the color correction as a matrix corresponding to the operation result.
