CATALYST AND COORDINATION POLYMER OF DICYCLOPENTADIENE

PURPOSE: A catalyst for coordination polymerization of dicyclopentadiene is provided to prepare a dicyclopentadiene polymer with high solubility to a non-polar solvent and improved properties by coordinate polymerization. CONSTITUTION: A polymerization catalyst comprises at least one kind of Group 10 transition metal oxide selected from the compounds represented by chemical formula 1, 2 or 3, and an aluminumoxy compound. In chemical formulas, R is C1-8 alkyl group or aryl group; R^1 is C1-8 alkyl group, aryl group, and combinations thereof containing heteroatom(N or O); L is pyridine or MR'3, wherein M is N, P or As; R' is C1-4 alkyl group or C6-8 aryl group; R^3 is C1-4 alkyl group or C6-8 aryl group; and n is an integer of 1-2.
