<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prevent color mixing of a color filter and to efficiently increase use efficiency of display light with respect to a substrate for an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate for the electrooptical device includes, on substrates 10 and 20: color filters 26; black matrixes 23 interposed between adjacent color filters, and formed higher than the color filters; and electrodes 9 and 21 for voltage application disposed from the color filters and black matrixes at the upper layer side and having steps corresponding to steps formed by steps of the color filters and black matrixes on surfaces to apply a voltage to an electrooptical material 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
