PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system which does not require a sump for floc formation and settling and can drastically reduce a treatment time. SOLUTION: The system 100 comprises: an inlet part for receiving charged raw water 102 containing particles; a spiral mixer 108 for mixing the charged raw water 102 with a coagulant and alkaline material; a buffer liquid tank 110 for storing mature floc which facilitates aggregation of particles in the charged raw water 102; a spiral separator 112 for separating contents in the buffer liquid tank 110 into effluent and waste water containing aggregated particles therein; and an outlet part for providing a first path for the effluent and a second path for the waste water having the aggregated particles.
