<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dyer or a washing-drying machine by which noises of an air blowing means (air blowing unit) can be reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This washing-drying machine includes a rotary drum in which clothes are housed, a motor which drives the rotary drum, and a cabinet which supports the rotary drum, and performs a drying operation. In the washing-drying machine, a means which feeds air into the rotary drum during the drying operation is installed, and a silencer is installed on this side of the suction port of the means. By this washing-drying machine, since the silencer is installed on this side of the suction port of the air blowing means, noises of the air blowing means can be reduced.
