<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control system for more appropriately detecting a fault of a voltage converter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power control system 12 includes two power supply units 14<SB>M</SB>, and 14<SB>S</SB>connected in parallel and a control part 16 which drive-controls the power supply units 14<SB>M</SB>, and 14<SB>S</SB>. The power supply units 14<SB>M</SB>, and 14<SB>S</SB>include batteries 20<SB>M'</SB>and 20<SB>S</SB>that can be charged and voltage converters 22<SB>M</SB>, and 22<SB>S</SB>connected to the batteries 20<SB>M</SB>, and 20<SB>S</SB>. A reactor current sensor L<SB>S</SB>detects a value and a direction of current (reactor current) flowing in the slave-side voltage converter 22<SB>S</SB>and outputs them to a control part 16. The control part 16 determines presence or absence of inter-battery short-circuit based on the value of acquired reactor current and specifies the power supply units 14<SB>M</SB>, and 14<SB>S</SB>becoming a cause of short-circuit based on the direction of reactor current when inter-battery short-circuit occurs.
