PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold time error convergence method and device, and a computer program, allowing comparatively easy convergence of a hold time error without causing a setup time error even when the hold time error occurs in a large-scale circuit. SOLUTION: When a shared path sharing a start point with a first error path and sharing an end point with a second error path exists about the first and second error paths included in an error path wherein the hold time error occurs, the first and second error paths are grouped, and a delay element is inserted with the grouped error paths as a unit such that the setup time error does not occur. Even if a node outside the group is not considered, the hold time error can converge, and there is not risk of causing the setup time error in a path outside the group by the insertion of the delay element.
