The device has a ninety degree angle transmission device (3) with an automatic changing system for automatically changing tools (5) on an input shaft (32) and on an output shaft (33), where the device is controlled by a digitally controlled machine center. The tools e.g. polishing wheel, are supported by a tool support (4). The input shaft is equipped with a ISOcone. The output shaft is equipped with a centering device (34) and a magnetic ring (35) that does not require external energy. An independent claim is also included for a method for polishing edges presenting reentrant angles.
