<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe capable of maintaining sliding performance between a spherical part and a sliding surface of a piston. <P>SOLUTION: The shoe 5 includes the spherical part 11 sliding on a hemispherical surface 4a formed on a piston 4, and a flat end surface part 12 sliding on a swash plate 3. An internal space S is formed by thinning the spherical part 11 and the end surface part 12. A spherical abutment part 11b slide-contacting a slide surface 4a of the piston 4 and an outer end part 11c which is at the end surface side 12 of the spherical abutment part 11b are formed on the spherical part 11. Wall thickness of the spherical abutment part 11b is kept constant, and wall thickness of the outer end part 11c is kept thicker than the spherical abutment part 11b.
