PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a charging apparatus with an amount of power meeting user's expectation as much as possible even when the transmission efficiency of power transmission is not so good. SOLUTION: When a secondary battery of first electronic equipment is charged by transmitting power from second electronic equipment, an amount of power to be supplied from the second electronic equipment is determined based on the amount of power desired by the first equipment and the transmission efficiency. Even if the transmission efficiency of a power transmission line is not good, therefore, the amount of power meeting user's expectation as much as possible is charged to the secondary battery of the first electronic equipment.
