<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate with a hard coat layer, easily manufactured, having a high film hardness and excelling in smoothness, scratch resistance and adhesion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The laminate with the hard coat layer has the hard coat layer and a metal oxide layer 3 laminated in this order on at least one face of a resin base material 1. The hard coat layer is structured to alternately laminate two layers with different surface hardness, and when a layer group with high surface hardness is set as A-layer units (e.g. A1, A2) and a layer group with low surface hardness is set as a B-layer unit (e.g. B1), at least one layer unit out of the A-layer units and B-layer unit is composed of at least two layers with different dry film thickness, and the sum total ΣAh of the dry film thickness of the A-layer units and the sum total ΣBh of dry film thickness of the B-layer unit satisfy a relationship of ΣAh≥ΣBh.
