<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system imaging surroundings of a plurality of doors with one wide-angle surveillance camera. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The intercom system includes: a plurality of door slave units installed outdoors; a plurality of room master units which respond to calls from respective door slave units; and a surveillance camera connected to the plurality of room master units and imaging surroundings of the door slave units. Each room master unit has a CPU which transmits a camera start-up signal to the surveillance camera when called from a corresponding door slave unit. The surveillance camera includes: an imaging section imaging surroundings of the plurality of door slave units; a door-slave-unit coverage storage section that stores imaging ranges for imaging surroundings corresponding to respective door slave units; and a camera screen range control section that extracts imaging range information corresponding to the door slave unit from the door-slave-unit coverage storage section when receives the camera start-up signal from the room master unit, and performs zooming, panning, and tilting.
