<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic composition having sufficient hydrophilicity, abrasion resistance, antifouling property and adhesiveness and producing a hydrophilic member maintaining excellent lubricity over a long period, and to provide a hydrophilic member, a fin material, a heat exchanger, and an air conditioner using the hydrophilic composition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hydrophilic composition comprises at least one of a specific-structure hydrophilic polymer (I) having a hydrophilic group and a silane coupling group in a side chain, and a specific-structure hydrophilic polymer (II) having a hydrophilic group in the side chain and a silane coupling group at the terminal of a polymer chain, and polyalkylene oxide (C).
