PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repairing method capable of preventing properly upheaval and damage from being caused by expansion, as to an expandable base course or a ground. SOLUTION: This repairing method for the base course or the like removes groove-likely one portion of an expandable laying layer A constituting the base course or the ground, along almost all the layer thickness directions, and fills a granular material F capable of absorbing the expansion of the laying layer A into a groove formed therein. A strain (expansion pressure) accumulated until this time by the expansion of the laying layer A is released by removing groove-likely one portion of the laying layer A along almost all the layer thickness directions, and the upheaval-damage and the like are properly prevented from being generated by the expansion of the laying layer A, since the granular material F filled in the groove absorbs the expansion of the laying layer A after repaired.
