PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing a metallic belt from meandering which can attached and detached in a short period of time without stopping the operation of a liquid tank for attaching the device and without removing the metallic belt in order to dip the metallic belt into the liquid tank and travel the metallic belt. SOLUTION: The device 1 for preventing the metallic belt from meandering comprises: a support roll 2; a centering roll 3 for preventing the metallic belt 13 from meandering; and a frame 4 for supporting therm. When the device 1 is installed in the liquid tank 10, a dipping frame 4a is dipped into the liquid bath, a tank wall crossing frame 4b is positioned on the upper parts of both side walls 11 of the liquid tank 10, the support roll 2 and the centering roll 3 are arranged in the upper part of the dipping frame 4a, the axial direction of the support roll 2 is made perpendicular to the travelling direction 41 of the metallic belt, two centering rolls 3 are arranged so that the axial direction 42 of the two centering roll 3 toward the tank wall makes an angle θ of <90° with the travelling direction of the metallic belt and as a result, the meandering preventing device is attachable and detachable to and from the liquid tank 10.
