<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixture which is easy to control: a resonance frequency of a surface plasmon utilizing interaction of a photoelectric field in the range from a visible wavelength to a near-infrared wavelength and the surface plasmon; and the distance between a metal and a material, and allows a plasmon enhancing effect to be effectively utilized and is excellent in uniformity of three-dimensional characteristics and environmental stability, and to provide a plasmonics device utilizing the mixture. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided (1) the mixture including: metal fine particles whose surfaces are coated with a polymer material whose surface is further coated with an inorganic oxide; and a two-photon absorption organic material. There is provided (2) the mixture described in (1), wherein the polymer material is water-soluble. Provided is (3) the mixture described in (1) or (2), wherein the polymer material is an electrolyte.
