<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that maintains the initial developing performance for an extremely long time without requiring time and effort for developer replacement, is free from fog and streak, and has high reproducibility for thin lines; and to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus that use the developing device and facilitate maintenance management. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device using at least two-component developer composed of toner and carrier includes: a mechanism that determines the deterioration in the carrier of the two-component developer; a mechanism that separates the deterioration carrier; a mechanism that discharges the deterioration carrier; a mechanism that returns non-deterioration carrier; and a mechanism that supplies developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
