<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which even where a small, inexpensive connector which may cause contact failure easily, is disposed in the vicinity of an intermediate transfer belt, contact failure of the connector due to entry of toner to the inside of the connector is made less likely to occur. <P>SOLUTION: A drawing unit 36 is pulled out toward the front and an intermediate transfer unit 30 is replaced. Thereafter, the drawing unit 36 is pushed in, and a unit-side connector 61 fixed to the intermediate transfer unit 30 is connected to a housing-side connector 71 fixed to the housing structure 10. The leading end Top of the unit-side connector 61 is positioned inside the edge of the intermediate transfer belt 31, thereby the connection with the housing-side connector 71 is carried out under eaves of the intermediate transfer belt 31 such that the entire unit-side connector 61 and the entire housing-side connector 71 connected each other are located in a space in the intermediate transfer unit 30.
