<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for forming a liquid crystal alignment layer having an excellent function as an alignment base material of a liquid crystal polymer and excellent releasing properties, even if a releasing layer is not provided on the surface of the film. <P>SOLUTION: In the film for forming the liquid crystal alignment layer using a polymer, a sonic ellipsoid measured by a sonic sheet tester has ≥2.15 km/s and ≤2.8 km/s maximum value Vmax, ≥1.6 km/s and ≤2.15 km/s minimum value Vmin and ≥0.55 km/s and ≤1.00 km/s (Vmax-Vmin), and a crystal size in a direction vertical to a plane [100] in an X-ray diffraction method is ≤6.2 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
