PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display on a display means only images of facilities which a user desires. SOLUTION: A navigation device includes; a memory means for storing facility information comprising kinds of facilities, a plurality of brands belonging to each kind of facilities, images of facilities of each of the brands, and the positions of the facilities, and map information; a control means for superposing images of facilities on the map information stored in the memory means based on the positions of the facilities, and displaying them on the display means; and a current position detecting means for detecting the current position. The control mean determines whether or not the current position detected by the current position detection means represents passage of one out of the positions of the facilities, and when it is determined to represent the passage of the facility, the control means eliminates the display of the images of the facilities of the same brand as the brand of the facility having been passed by.
