<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a technology of making smaller a loss of a light amount and a synthetic part of a light path in a projector equipped with three or more light sources. <P>SOLUTION: By a pyramid shaped reflecting member 80 having the number of pyramid faces matched to the number of lamps, illumination light emitted from the lamps 20, 30, 40, 50 can be reflected in a direction of a light bulb. Moreover, since the illumination light is converged according to sizes of the pyramid faces, the loss of the light amount of the illumination light reflected in the direction of the light bulb is suppressed. Accordingly, even if the number of the lamps is increased, it suffices for suppressing the enlargement of an optical system that the number of the pyramid faces is increased according to the increased number of the lamps without specially enlarging the reflecting member 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
