PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print color prediction method and a prediction system capable of easily and quickly coping with the change of the reference density of a printed matter and precisely predicting the color of the printed matter. SOLUTION: In a profile preparation device 24, the reference density spectral reflectance of a color chart C1 printed under a reference density condition, the first changed density spectral reflectance of the color chart C1 printed by changing only the density of a color among C, M, Y, and K for only a prescribed change amount, and the second changed density spectral reflectance of the color chart C1 printed by changing the density of the colors C, M, Y, and K for only the same prescribed change amount are obtained. A print prediction profile 20 capable of obtaining desired target density is prepared by using the reference density spectral reflectance, a difference amount between the reference density spectral reflectance and the first changed density spectral reflectance, and a correction coefficient capable of obtaining the second changed density spectral reflectance.
