PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer with simple structure, appropriately maintaining humidity of containers relatively inexpensively, even when the plurality of containers for storing recording paper sheets are installed to the printer. SOLUTION: The printer includes an approximately hermetically-closed cassette 5, which stores recording paper sheets P and is detachably installed to a printer body part 1. When the cassette 5 is installed to the printer body part 1, a door member 110 is turned by action of a pin 113 to open a communication hole 104 of the cassette 5, and a tray pressing-down lever 121 projected from an opening 112 enters into the communication hole. A compartment 126 storing the tray pressing-down mechanism 120 is formed to the printer body 1, and the compartment 126 communicates to the inside of the cassette 5 through the opening 112 and the communication hole 104 to form an approximately hermetically-closed space.
