PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a thermoplastic resin excellent in heat stability during process at high temperatures, never vaporizing even when compounded at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the resin, and efficiently functioning when compounded into the resin. SOLUTION: This additive for the thermoplastic resin comprises an allyl compound obtained by mixing and heating a primary amine compound represented by the following formula (1): R-(NH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>and a polyfunctional compound having an allyl group and a glycidyl group.
